Posture Focus: Forearm Balance Preparation
POSTURE IN FOCUS: Forearm Balance preparation pose, practice variation.
Props needed: wall space and yoga mat.
Practice: Watch the video through first and then practice 3 times, resting in between each go.
Focus: on pressing the forearms down, elbows in and shoulders lift. Keep the head lifted off the mat.
Benefits: Forearm Balance preparation works to build upper body strength, confidence and stability. In this variation, with the palms inverted up a wall, it is helping to keep the elbows in. This practice variation is good to do working towards the full Forearm Balance using a wall, which is when we kick the feet up to rest onto the wall.
